Cosmic Cornucopia
This painting is based off of a very clear vision I experienced on the eve of Thanksgiving 2018. I was laying in bed contemplating gratitude and life’s universal blessings. These blessings are available to everyone at any time. We must open ourselves to giving and receiving. We have the power to manifest these blessings and call our wants and needs into our lives. Practicing gratitude daily is so important. I also painted a little cabin by the woods in the mountains with a bountiful garden, a future I am manifesting for myself. The cornucopia, also called the horn of plenty, is a symbol of abundance, strength and nourishment. It is emerging as a part of the divine plan from a wormhole in the heavens, the universal grid of connectivity. I imagine we each have our own horn of plenty, destined to rain blessings upon us. “I receive, I allow, I accept, I give, I Am Gratitude” Sanat Kumara, Universal Law of Give and Receive |
Rising Goddesses
I began this painting as a homage to the reawakening of the Divine Feminine. Over the course of a year, the vision developed further, deepening in intention. It is time to reclaim the word Goddess. Know that She is You. And You are Her. Now is the time to restore our sisterhood. We are embracing unity, equality, ourselves and each other, celebrating our authenticity. The raw, the real, the pretty and the messy. We are healers, lovers, earth stewards, dancers, wild women. We are embracing joy. Our shadows and our light. Body and soul. We are practicing and embodying compassion, forgiveness, receptivity, self-love, empathy, courage, integrity, peace, and wholeness. Succulents symbolize enduring and timeless love for they are tenacious plants. The moth represents determination, attraction, psychic abilities, and faith. Although moths are nocturnal, they are driven toward light. The rainbow serves as a symbol of peace and serenity, an inner awakening of light shining through truth and wisdom. Butterflies are symbolic of a person's essence or soul, past, present and future. The color blue in a butterfly is often thought to symbolize joy and change in luck- a wish granter. All three women are depicted like a totem, in powerful yoga positions. Humanity forms a conscious collective and we are at the dawn of a new era. We are rising into greater physical and spiritual health. We are deepening into our own soul. We are connecting with the Great Mystery and with each other. Women all around this precious planet are celebrating and embodying the wild, sacred feminine. We are rising into our authentic selves. And, together we Rise! |
The Fool Manifests Joy
This painting was started LIVE at S.W.A.N. Day CT 2019. It was one of the first warm, beautiful days of spring and I was filled with energy, excitement, joy. I wanted to literally manifest this joy onto the canvas. Over the past two months it evolved into a piece with deep meaning and became my representation of The Fool Tarot card. The Fool represents new beginnings and carefree adventure. On the traditional Fool Tarot card, a young man stands on the edge of a cliff, without a care in the world, as he sets out on a new adventure. Taking his first steps he is exuberant, joyful, excited. He is gazing upwards toward the sky, unaware that he is about to skip off a precipice into the unknown. Over his shoulder rests a little knapsack containing everything he needs – which isn’t much. The white rose in his left hand represents his purity and innocence. And at his feet is a small white dog, representing loyalty and protection, that encourages him to charge forward and learn the lessons he came to learn. The Fool is numbered 0 – the number of unlimited potential, believing that anything can happen, that there are endless opportunities in the world. He leads a simple life, having no worries, not troubled by the fact that he cannot tell what lays ahead, simply ready to greet it with joy. He inspires courage, for he understands that every day is a chance to open up new areas in your life, and with that comes a mixture of anticipation, wonder, awe and curiosity. |
This embodies how I have been living my life the past few years. Traveling the country in a van, living one day at a time in peace and harmony with my spirit. I painted The Fool, this time a woman, at the bottom, raising her hands to the heavens. She is manifesting her own joy, her own opportunity, her own dreams. She is being visited by a spritely fae spirit who is delighting in the butterflies with her. Both the fairy and the butterflies are taking on the role of spirit guides on road to joy.
The butterfly is an animal totem that reminds up to be sensitive to your personal cycles of expansion and growth, as well as the beauty of life’s continuous unfolding. An important message carried by the spirit of the butterfly is about the ability to go through important changes with grace and lightness. I have undergone my own powerful transformation, a metamorphosis in life. Joy has become my nature, a constant state of being, the truth of Who We Are. Joy is within all of us. When we expand, access, grow our joy — gratitude for everything — our truth expands within that. Joy is clear and gentle, the truth of everyone’s being, a strong, viral, healing energy that moves at en-light-ening speed.
I am receiving, I am giving, I am receiving,
I am giving gratitude, I am receiving back gratitude,
I Am the Eternal Flow.

Three Golden Muses
This painted was LIVE painted over 6 hours on stage at the 2018 S.W.A.N. CT Festival (Supporting Women Artists Now). I was so inspired by all the amazing female artists, musicians, dancers, performers and crafters that came together, supporting each other and showcasing incredible talent. Though women artists have been involved in the making of art throughout history, their work, when compared to that of their male counterparts, is often both overlooked and undervalued. Women in art have been faced with challenges due to gender biases in the mainstream fine art world. They have often encountered difficulties in training, traveling and trading their work, as well as gaining recognition. I depicted three golden muses- a painter, a dancer and a singer. Muses were Greek goddesses who ruled over the arts and sciences offering inspiration. They are golden, a color associated with illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion, magic, and wisdom. Being an artist means you reinterpret your experiences into a reimagined form that can speak to others. Being an artist is a constant process, not a permanent trait. When a true artist is creating a piece of art, there is nothing else their mind; it is an escape from the real world. |
Toadstool Dance
This painting was started at a music festival and was finished in the woods- the two places I feel most able to let loose, where you can connect with strangers on the deepest of levels and get lost in the music in the trees. |
Playmates
This was painted by a campfire with friends. Sometimes I am gifted the ability to see or sense auras around people, which have been playfully depicted here. These friends are lost in the laughter of the night, the dancing of the stars, the sparkle of the flames. Being completely in the moment transcends reality into a magical, vivid realm. |
